Supports and enhances grassroots initiatives in rural Appalachia in the areas of food, housing, healthcare and education, as well as urban neighborhood-led initiatives in affordable housing communities, focusing on developing a healthy, safe and economically vibrant community.
Supports and strengthens grassroots initiatives for community self-sufficiency and sustainable access to safe, clean and affordable water, food, housing, healthcare and education in Africa.
Provides housing counseling, property maintenance and property management of the sponsoring agencies that work with transitional housing clients to provide intensive direct case management services, including healthcare, psychosocial rehabilitation and vocational development. Also provides monthly food to Americans in 11 states and on Indian reservations and regular donations of new blankets, shoes, winter coats, clothing, school supplies and holiday items.
Provides assistance for immediate survival needs — food, water and shelter — to American Indian people while implementing and supporting programs designed to create opportunities for self-sufficiency and self-esteem, particularly for tribal youth.
