Program Assistant - Americans Helping Americans®

Americans Helping Americans®, a national charitable organization, seeks a motivated self-starter to provide administrative and project related support to the Executive Director, working closely in collaboration with field staff, grantees and volunteers. Fundraising background, training coordination, group facilitation and grant writing with degree preferred. Working knowledge of the Appalachian Region a plus.

Candidate for consideration must hold a BA or BS degree or at least 10 years of experience in the field or in a related area. Experience in an administrative or support role. Strong communication skills both oral and written a must. Attention to detail and excellent organizational and analytical skills with the ability to prioritize and handle multiple tasks without direct supervision.

Web Communications, Viral Marketing and Social Media Manager(New Position)

Christian Relief Services Charities (CRSC) is a leading human services, housing and international sustainable development nonprofit organization, with a number of diverse charitable affiliates run by passionate staff and caring boards. CRSC’s affiliates have several websites with light but growing traffic and approximately 6,000 e-subscribers.

The Web Communications, Viral Marketing and Social Media Manager will play a critical role in the upkeep and management of online content on all of the CRSC Websites. Position responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • researching and developing internet philanthropy ideas and practices
  • creating, developing and implementing exciting, interactive content and technology for social impact
  • editing and writing for our Jooml-based Websites, Facebook sites, blogs, etc…
  • develop content strategy and coordinate with more matured multichannel marketing
  • managing social media and viral marketing and assisting with development of social media strategy

Requirements include: B.A. / B.S. degree or the equivalent, preferably in communications, English, advertising, marketing or a related field. Ideal applicant will have a minimum of 3 to 5 years of related experience in internet philanthropy, internet technology and communications, political advocacy, charitable marketing and/or Web writing. German fluency a big plus and working knowledge of Joomla 1.5+ a plus but not required.
