Supports and strengthens grassroots initiatives for community self-sufficiency and sustainable access to safe, clean and affordable water, food, housing, healthcare and education in Africa.
Promotes access to safe, adequate and affordable housing in Fairfax County, Virginia by developing and implementing innovative training programs for low and moderate-income households and human service professionals.
Provides a safe, nurturing youth center environment and recreational, social and cultural activities designed to enhance Lakota children’s healthy development and life coping skills.
Provides housing counseling, property maintenance and property management of the sponsoring agencies that work with transitional housing clients to provide intensive direct case management services, including healthcare, psychosocial rehabilitation and vocational development. Also provides monthly food to Americans in 11 states and on Indian reservations and regular donations of new blankets, shoes, winter coats, clothing, school supplies and holiday items.
Operates 12 groups homes, funded in part by HUD, dedicated to providing permanent supportive housing to chronically mentally and/or physically challenged adults. Provides comprehensive educational, supportive and counseling services to help bring people to levels of self-sufficiency so that they may break the cycle of homelessness.
Manages 12 multi-family properties in Virginia, Kansas and Arizona consisting of over 2,100 units of affordable housing for low-income families.
Provides assistance for immediate survival needs — food, water and shelter — to American Indian people while implementing and supporting programs designed to create opportunities for self-sufficiency and self-esteem, particularly for tribal youth.
